Capital campaign case statement

Wrote capital campaign case statement to spark stakeholder engagement and raise funds in support of Plaza Cinema, a community film and media education center to be constructed in Healdsburg, California. AVFilm, a nonprofit organizations that inspires and educates through film and the media arts, will operate the cinema, and all proceeds will go directly toward the organization’s mission of uplifting, transforming, and empowering students of all ages.
Plaza Cinema will be developed and shared as a public asset, bringing diverse films, artists, and educational and cultural enrichment programming to the community. A joyful place that provides entertainment – absolutely, but also a safe space where new perspectives and ideas can be freely explored. Film is one of the most accessible forms of art, offering a common foundation and awareness, and creating the opportunity for dialogue across class, culture, and age.
The project will include three screening rooms, meeting/classroom space, event courtyard, and administrative offices.
To date, more than $1.5 million of the capital campaign’s $2.5 million goal has been pledged in support of Plaza Cinema.
