Challenge
To position and launch rebrand of South Shore Center, a newly acquired retail asset located on the 23-square-mile island of Alameda, Calif. and increase Atlanta-based Jamestown’s visibility in Northern California. Key audiences included civic and government leaders, community members, retail tenants, real estate professionals, and media.

Solution
Hired in 2011 to develop a launch strategy that included introducing Jamestown and rebranded property at a key Alameda city council meeting with representatives of all target audiences in attendance. Additionally, petitioned the Mayor to issue proclamation declaring July 5 “Alameda South Shore Center Day” in recognition of Jamestown’s commitment to recasting the center as a community destination and gathering place. Garnered considerable local, regional, and national media coverage and initiated significant community engagement. Continue to represent Jamestown on behalf of this asset and expanded account to include additional properties as the firm expands its presence on the west coast.
