SAN FRANCISCO (May 10, 2016) — MoMo’s American Bar & Grill, the AT&T Park-adjacent restaurant and mecca for San Francisco Giants’ fans, is opening a second location in Walnut Creek, California.

The full service bar and eatery will occupy a 6,528-square-foot retail space at 1444 North California Boulevard, a high-profile downtown address with dual corner presence on North California and Cypress/Bonanza Street. The site is just blocks from the Apple Store, Neiman Marcus, Anthropology, Nordstrom, and many other prominent restaurants and retailers.

Jeffrey Hook, Senior Managing Director with tenant advisory firm Savills Studley, represented MoMo’s in the transaction. “We analyzed numerous locations throughout the Bay Area and confirmed that Walnut Creek, along with neighboring East Bay communities, is Giants’ country. Our client is confident that local fans and residents will recognize and welcome the MoMo’s brand,” said Hook.

The restaurant signed a 15-year lease with two extension options, and plans to open in the fourth quarter of this year. Parking is available nearby and valet service will also be offered.

This will be the fifth restaurant owned by The Golden Bear Restaurant Group, founded in 1991 by Peter W. Osborne and his wife, Janet.

The original MoMo’s opened in 1998 and was named in memory of Osborne’s grandmother and mentor, whom he affectionately called MoMo.

John Sechser of Transwestern represented the landlord, Nearon Enterprises, in the transaction.
